Bob Newhart came to prominence in the ’60s when his album of comedic monologues was released. The comedian and actor starred as Robert Hartley in “The Bob Newhart Show” in the ’70s. He has also made many guest appearances on shows over the years, and in 2013 he was seen in “The Big Bang Theory.” He received his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Professor Proton.
