John Amos (Born in 1939) – Good Times
Originally, John Amos planned to become a football player, and he even signed up for the American Football League. However, that didn’t work out, and he moved on to a career in acting. That proved successful, and he got his most remembered role on the show “Good Times.”
Amos is also well known for his role in the ’70s series “Roots” as well as a few other projects like “Die Hard 2,” “The Beastmaster,” and “Coming to America.” In 2021, he was seen in “Coming 2 America,” the sequel to the 1988 movie.
