Katarina Witt is a German figure skater that’s recognized as one of the greatest figure skaters of all time. She’s actually the first woman to bag successive Olympic gold medals (1984 and 1988) in singles figure skating since 1936.
In the ’90s, Witt was honored with the Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement. After dominating her sport of choice for almost a decade, she also tried her hand at acting and had a few TV and film appearances. Witt had a cameo in “Everybody Loves Raymond” and a small role in the film “Ronin.”
